We got out in the garden today to band up out cauliflower to prevent sun bleaching of the heads. Simply bring 3-5 large leafs up over the head and use a rubber band to hold them together. This provides a barrier from the sun and will keep your cauliflower head white.
They’re finally beginning to develop heads on them. They’ve got a long ways to go yet but we were excited to see some progress.
I was in the garden last night pulling weeds, squishing bugs and pruning leaves touching the ground when I came this little guy. They camouflage so well and have the coolest song. No idea how many insects it will eat, but any help is more than welcome. I’ve found a few toads as well since the garden starred to really grow.
